Roller Coaster of Death Vignette Short
Treatment
A small boy wants to ride the rollercoaster "DeathRocket" at the fair. The creepy man who runs the ride assures him that it is safe, and so he decides to ride it. The roller coaster enters a giant menacing mouth and everything goes black a woman's voice says "Activating rocket mode". The track ends instantly and rocket boosters on the car come to life. The boy flies through the darkness untill he comes out of the tap in someone's bathtub (video footage). The boy lands the rocket in the water (cartoon) only to realize that it's not bath water he landed in but the ocean (video footage). The boy steers the rocket underwater where he encounters sea creatures (cartoon) and is sucked down by a whirlpool. The whirlpool sucks him down into a drain and he eventually comes out of a girl's kitchen sink as she is fixing herself a glass of water. The boy escapes just as the girl is about to drink from the glass, but she notices him and swats him out the window. (video) The rocket car flies out the window and into the sky, the boy steers the rocket car into a could (cartoon). As he goes deeper into the cloud, the cloud mass transforms into the white bed sheets (cartoon) of a young sleeping couple. The boy shoots out from under the bed sheets and between the sleeping couple, who are upset by the disturbance. Eager to escape the boy flies under the crack in the bedroom door.(Video) The other side of the door is red and all around it is completely black, once again the woman's voice says, "Rocket mode deactivated". The rocket boosters cut off and the rumbling of the wheels on the tracks are heard again. The boy rides the roller coaster out through the mouth and back to the creepy old man. The boy shakes and trembles while the old man laughs and says "I told you it was safe".
